WBA boosted by Boateng's Dnipro snub

West Brom's hopes of signing Getafe midfielder Derek Boateng have been boosted by the news he has snubbed a move to Dnipro FC.

The Ghana international is set to leave the Spanish La Liga outfit and was all set to join the Ukrainians when they accepted an offer on Saturday.

However, it appears Boateng could not agree personal terms as he does not want to ply his trade in Ukraine given that he would prefer a move to another top European league having played in Germany and Spain so far during his career.

Baggies boss Roy Hodgson is thought to be very interested in signing Boateng, who would no doubt relish the opportunity to test his abilities in the Premier League at the Hawthorns.

Therefore, in order to push through a deal, Getafe will be looking to secure the same fee that Dnipro were willing to pay before giving Boateng the green light to make the switch
