Sunyani Zone of Brong Ahafo Second Division ends

Sunyani (B/A), May 16, GNA - Sunyani Armstrong F/C ditched a 1-0 win over visiting Chiraa Adasuokor to complete the Sunyani Zone fixture of the Brong-Ahafo Region Second Division football league match at the Coronation Park at the weekend.

Salifu Baba's first half goal was all that the home needed to win the day even though the Adasuokor lads played better than their counterparts in the second half but all their efforts for an equalizer failed to materialise.

In the other matches, Duayaw-Nkwanta Atweaban F/C spanked Bomaa-based A.C. Milan 4-0 at Duayaw-Nkwanta while Bomaa Tigers defeated Bechem Young Stars 1-0 at Bomaa. Meanwhile, last Saturday's matches brought the Second Division leagu= e competition to an end with Armstrong F/C leading the table with 22 points.

Armstrong FC will thus join winners from the other zones in the region to vie for the Regional Middle league, with the venue and date yet to be announced by the Regional Football Association (RFA).
