Ampem Darkoa Ladies secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Uganda’s Kawempe Muslim Ladies to record their second consecutive win in Group B of the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League in Egypt.

The Ghanaian champions claimed all three points at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia on Thursday, November 5, thanks to a late win from Beline Nyarkoh.

Ampem Darkoa made a bright start to the encounter, with Nancy Amoh capitalising on a goalkeeping error to put her side ahead in the ninth minute.

Kawempe Muslim Ladies responded strongly and drew level in the 33rd minute through Shadia Nabirye, ensuring the teams went into the break with the score tied at 1-1.

The contest remained closely fought after the restart, with Kawempe competing for another goal.

However, Ampem Darkoa found the decisive breakthrough in the 84th minute when Nyarkoh struck to restore the Ghanaian side’s lead and secure the victory.

The result gives Ampem Darkoa six points from their opening two matches, strengthening their position in Group B and confirming their progression to the semi-finals with a game to spare.

Ampem Darkoa will face Moroccan side AS FAR in their final group-stage fixture on Sunday, November 8, while Kawempe Muslim Ladies take on Mali’s USFAS Bamako as they seek to finish their campaign strongly.
