Black Stars defender Kojo Oppong Peprah delivered an impressive performance as Fenerbahçe recorded a historic 3-2 comeback win over Premier League giants Liverpool.
The match, played on November 4, 2026, was keenly contested from the outset, with both sides battling for victory.
Trey Nyoni and Alexander Isak scored for Liverpool, but the Turkish club responded through Mason Greenwood, Archie Brown and Vedat Muriqi to secure the 3-2 win.

Oppong played an integral role in the victory, making crucial blocks and interceptions from his centre-back position to help his side.
He also helped contain Liverpool’s attacking threat, which included Bradley Barcola, Florian Wirtz and Isak. He dealt particularly well with winger Victor Muñoz, using his tackling and ball-recovery abilities to support Fenerbahçe’s defensive efforts.
The Ghanaian was a constant presence at the heart of the defence and delivered an impressive performance, making him one of the game’s highest-rated players.
His display comes at a good time for the Black Stars, who are expected to name a squad soon for their must-win double-header against Somalia in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
