Acting National Sports Authority (NSA) Director-General Prof. Emmanuel Osei Sarpong has estimated that repairing the floodlights at the Accra Sports Stadium will cost between GH₵1.5 million and GH₵2 million.
Speaking to Citi Sports about the planned repairs, Prof. Osei Sarpong said he cannot guarantee when the floodlights would be fixed, stressing that he would need to assess the situation before making any commitment.
“If I tell you that, I'm not being honest,” he said when asked about the repair timeline.

He explained that the work is complex due to the size of the floodlight structures, the metal frames involved, and the technical requirements of carrying out repairs at such heights.
“It's a huge thing,” he added, noting that the use of cranes and other equipment to access the structures makes the exercise challenging.
