He made 33 Premier League appearances for the Merseyside club, scoring once during his time at Goodison Park.

The midfielder also represented AS Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain on loan before continuing his career in Norway and Switzerland.

At international level, Nyarko represented Ghana and was part of the national team that won bronze in the men's football tournament at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games.

The achievement remains a significant milestone in Ghanaian football history, with the Black Meteors finishing third to secure a place on the Olympic podium.
