Bibiani Gold Stars FC have been charged by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) over alleged breaches of the Enhanced Matchday Safety and Security Protocols following their Ghana Premier League match against Accra Hearts of Oak SC.

In a statement issued on September 16,2026, Gold Stars have been charged with breaches of Protocols 7(c)(V), 8(h) and 8(i) of the Enhanced Matchday Safety and Security Protocols, 2025.

The GFA alleges that the club failed to comply with matchday accreditation and access-control requirements by allowing its Chief Executive Officer, Kwasi Adu, to enter the inner perimeter.

The Association said it is “further alleged that Kwasi Adu engaged in insulting and improper conduct” by entering the inner perimeter and verbally abusing the match officials.

Kwasi Adu has consequently been charged with a breach of Article 34(6)(d) of the Ghana Premier League Regulations, 2025.

According to the GFA, the alleged incident involved the Gold Stars CEO “entering the inner perimeter and verbally abusing the Match Officials.”

Bibiani Gold Stars FC and Kwasi Adu have until Friday, September 18, 2026, to respond to the charges.
