Renowned Ghanaian boxer Freezy Macbones was at the center of controversy during a weigh-in event ahead of his upcoming bout against WBO Africa Cruiserweight champion Godday Appah, popularly known as Zodsolo.

During the face-off, the Ghanaian boxer lost his composure and appeared intent on attacking his opponent.

The security team present quickly intervened to restrain Macbones from confronting Zodsolo, though he continued pushing to get closer to his rival.

At one point, the Nigerian boxer grew visibly annoyed by the situation and dared Macbones to attack him, insisting he would not survive. Both fighters made attempts to lunge at each other before security officials stepped in to separate them.

The bout is scheduled for October 1, 2026, in Lagos, coinciding with Nigeria’s Independence Day, as the two battle for the continental title.

The event is organized by the Chaos in the Ring group, headlining the WBO Cruiserweight African Title alongside other international bouts.

This fight presents Macbones with an opportunity to claim an African title following his previous loss to a Ghanaian opponent in a title clash, as he continues his quest to make history in the sport and bring pride to the nation.
