Kenpong Football Academy prodigy Desmond Korlettey has announced himself as one of the most promising Ghanaian talents of his generation following a dazzling campaign at the recently concluded MTN Elite U-19 Tournament in Prampram.

The youngster caught the attention of fans and scouts with a series of impressive performances that saw him claim a historic four Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards.

Korlettey, who captained the Central Regional team to a third-place finish in the tournament, laid down a marker in the opening game against the Greater Accra Region, where he produced an outstanding performance.

His impressive form continued with MVP-winning displays against the Northern Region and Upper East Region, as he helped the Central Regional team secure a place in the semi-finals.

The Kenpong Football Academy player, whose academy is owned by Ghanaian businessman Kennedy Agyapong, delivered another outstanding performance in the third-place play-off, earning his fourth MVP award after inspiring the Central Regional team to a 3-0 victory over Brong Ahafo.

His performances throughout the tournament also earned him the overall MVP award, capping an impressive campaign marked by consistency, dedication and attacking quality.



Korlettey also showcased his goalscoring ability, finishing the tournament as joint top scorer with six goals.

His latest achievements are expected to excite the management of Kenpong Football Academy, which has equipped its Winneba-based facility with modern infrastructure and technical staff dedicated to developing the next generation of Ghanaian football talent.
