Hearts of Oak are closing in on the signing of Ivorian attacker Abdoul Kader Kuruma Mamudu, with domestic football transfer expert Mohammed Shaban reporting that the Ghanaian giants are set to finalise a three-year contract with the forward.

Mamudu is understood to have returned to Ghana and is currently training with the Phobians, with negotiations reportedly at an advanced stage and the deal expected to be completed in the coming days.

The forward first caught the attention of Hearts of Oak during a training stint with the club in January, but a permanent move could not be concluded at the time as the club was operating under a transfer ban.

The situation has since changed following the lifting of the transfer restriction after Hearts of Oak settled compensation owed to former technical director René Hiddink over the wrongful termination of his contract, paving the way for the club to resume recruitment and complete new player signings.

With the transfer ban now lifted, Mamudu has returned to the club and is once again training with the first team as both parties work towards completing the formalities of his proposed move.

The potential signing would represent another significant addition to the Hearts of Oak attack as the club looks to strengthen its squad and build a competitive team for the upcoming domestic campaign.
