Paul Pogba is set to leave AS Monaco after the French club decided to terminate his contract following another injury setback, according to reports.

The 33-year-old midfielder joined Monaco in June 2025 on a two-year contract, hoping to revive his career after serving an 18-month doping suspension.

However, his return to competitive football has been severely disrupted by fitness problems. Pogba made only six Ligue 1 appearances during the 2025/26 season, playing just 115 minutes in total.

His situation took another turn during Monaco's pre-season preparations when he suffered a fresh thigh injury, adding to the concerns surrounding his ability to maintain regular fitness.

Reports indicate that Monaco had already decided to part ways with the former Manchester United and Juventus star before the latest injury occurred. The club is now working towards an agreement with Pogba over the termination of his contract.

The move would bring a disappointing end to Pogba's short spell in the Principality, where expectations were high following his arrival as a World Cup winner and former Juventus star.

Reports indicate Monaco had already made the decision in July 2026 that Pogba's future at the club was uncertain after an injury-hit first season.

Pogba will now face another uncertain chapter in his career, with the midfielder expected to become a free agent once the termination agreement is completed.

The Frenchman has not played consistently since leaving Juventus and will hope to find a new club willing to give him another opportunity to rebuild his career.
