Several Ghana Premier League clubs are making significant moves in the transfer market as they race to strengthen their squads ahead of the start of the 2026/27 season.

Transfer updates as reported by sports journalist Shaban Mohammed on several deals already been completed, while a number of other transfers are at advanced stages, with Hearts of Oak, Debibi United, Swedru All Blacks and Asante Kotoko among the clubs actively involved in the latest round of negotiations.

Newly promoted Debibi United have strengthened their squad with the signing of former Asante Kotoko forward Abdul Fatawu Safiu on a two-year contract.

The club have also completed the permanent signing of former Heart of Lions and Hearts of Oak forward Kwadwo Obeng Jnr, as well as former Asante Kotoko, Karela United and Hohoe United centre-back Maxwell Agyemang.

At Asante Kotoko, the Porcupine Warriors have completed the signing of former FC Samartex forward Emmanuel Mamah on a two-year deal, with an option for an additional year.

Former AshantiGold and Vision FC forward Isaac Opoku Agyemang has also been included in the club's squad for the second phase of pre-season in Accra and is expected to complete his move.

Kotoko are further assessing former Stade Malien centre-back Issah Yakubu, who is expected to join the team for pre-season training, while negotiations are advanced for Burkinabè defensive midfielder Abdoul Kader following an impressive trial.

Goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim has also been included in the squad for the Accra pre-season and is expected to sign for the club, marking his return to Kotoko.

However, winger Daniel Yemoh's proposed move to Kotoko has collapsed after he spent several days training with the club.

At Hearts of Oak, negotiations are ongoing with former FC Samartex right-back Samuel Tetteh Mensah, with talks progressing positively.

The Phobians are also battling FC Samartex for the signature of Vision FC midfielder Meshack Adjetey Sowah, with both clubs keen to land the highly-rated midfielder.

Hearts are closing in on PAC Academy centre-back Manuel Osei Djan, with a club-to-club agreement already reached and final documents expected to be exchanged.

Former Swedru All Blacks midfielder Ebenezer Amoh has been training with Hearts, with negotiations progressing well and a deal expected to be completed in the coming days.

The club have also opened talks with former Bechem United and Nations FC midfielder Amidou Diarra, while former Dreams FC goalkeeper Augustine Koomson has been spotted at the club's training ground as negotiations are set to begin.

Hearts are also interested in former Heart of Lions midfielder Mustapha Yakubu but face competition from his former club.

Meanwhile, the Phobians are expected to part ways with Theophilus Collinson and Enoch Asubonteng, while centre-back David Oppong Afrane has already left following the expiration of his contract.

At Medeama SC, the club have completed the signing of midfielder Emmanuel Anokye from Sporting Club Accra on a three-year contract.

The Mauves have also announced the signing of Emmanuel Fobi from Georgian top-flight side FC Dila Gori on a three-year deal.

Berekum Chelsea are making progress in their pursuit of former Young Apostles goalkeeper Zulka Massawudu, while free-agent midfielder Godfred Boakye, who recently parted ways with Aduana FC, is also on their radar.

Elsewhere, Heart of Lions have completed the signing of former King Faisal goalkeeper Edmund Wireko on a two-year contract after he successfully completed his medical.

The club are also pushing to re-sign former midfielder Mustapha Yakubu, although Hearts of Oak remain interested in the player.

FC AshantiGold have secured the permanent signing of Unity FC forward William Addo, who finished as the Access Bank Division One League's top scorer last season with an impressive 23 goals.

Meanwhile, Aduana FC have announced prolific goalscorer Stephen Amankona on a permanent deal.

Hohoe United winger Sena Ati has been training with Hearts of Oak as talks over a possible move continue.
