The European transfer market is heating up with several major developments emerging as clubs prepare for the new season.

Rodri is closing in on Barcelona. The Manchester City midfielder has reportedly agreed the main terms of a move to Camp Nou, with Barcelona and City now working on the final details.

Reports suggest the fee could be around €50 million, while Rodri is expected to join Barcelona on August 12, 2026.

Liverpool have closed in on a major defensive addition. Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo will join the Reds on a season-long loan, with Liverpool having an option to buy the Uruguay international at the end of the campaign.

Araujo is undergoing his medical as Liverpool look to strengthen their defence following injuries and departures.

Arsenal have completed the signing of Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle for around £75 million, adding another elite midfielder to Mikel Arteta’s squad. The Brazilian has signed a four-year contract with an option for another year.

With Vinicius Junior now committed to Real Madrid, Arsenal are turning their attention to alternative attacking targets, with PSG winger Bradley Barcola and Athletic Club’s Nico Williams among the names being discussed.
