Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Bjorgekren is expected to field his strongest starting XI as they face Mali in their final group game of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The Queens are currently second in Group D with three points, while Mali sit third with the same tally. Cape Verde are bottom with zero points, and Cameroon, topping the group with six points, have already booked their place in the quarter-finals.

The team are determined to secure victory in the match on August 6, 2026, in Morocco, to cement qualification and set up a quarter-final clash against Malawi, winners of Group C.

The line-up is expected to remain largely unchanged, with Felicia Konlan in goal. The backline will likely feature Priscilla Boakye, Josephine Bonsu, Benedicte Simon, and Susan Ama Duah.

In midfield, Grace Asantewaa, who has been outstanding for the team, will keep her spot and be partnered with Jennifer Cudjoe and Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah to maintain momentum and drive play from the middle.

In attack, Alice Kusi, Doris Boaduwaa, and Princess Marfo are expected to lead the line, with Marfo replacing Ajegipina Zakaria.
