Real Madrid have completed the signing of Ivorian winger Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig, securing the highly-rated teenager on a seven-year contract.

The Spanish giants confirmed the agreement on Thursday, August 6, 2026, announcing that Diomande will remain at the club until June 30, 2033.

The 19-year-old arrives in Madrid after a remarkable breakthrough campaign with Leipzig, having joined the German club from Spanish side Leganés in 2025.

Diomande enjoyed an impressive debut season in the Bundesliga, registering 13 goals and 10 assists in 36 appearances across all competitions.

His performances earned him the Bundesliga Rookie of the Season award and helped Leipzig finish third to secure Champions League football.

His rapid rise also earned him international recognition with Côte d’Ivoire.

Born in Abidjan, Diomande represented the Elephants at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, making his tournament debut as Côte d’Ivoire reached the Round of 32.

Reports indicate Real Madrid have agreed a deal worth around €125 million, with the package potentially rising to €140 million through add-ons.

If the figures are confirmed, the transfer would surpass Jude Bellingham’s €103 million move in 2023 to become Madrid’s most expensive signing.
