Black Queens head coach Lars Kim Björkegren has announced a 22-player squad for the team’s planned camp during the June FIFA international window as part of preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The camping exercise forms part of the national team’s long-term preparations for the continental tournament, with the technical team focused on building a competitive and balanced squad ahead of the competition.
The Black Queens are expected to play several international friendly matches during the camping period as the coaching staff continues to evaluate players' performances and strengthen team chemistry.
The upcoming assignments are also expected to provide the technical team with an opportunity to assess tactical improvements and monitor the progress of both experienced players and emerging talents within the squad.
Coach Lars Kim has selected a squad that combines experienced figures with promising young players for the upcoming camp.
The technical team remains determined to improve consistency and competitiveness within the squad while preparing the players for future international challenges.
The June camping programme also reflects the Ghana Football Association's (GFA) ongoing efforts to keep the Black Queens active and competitive through regular international engagements ahead of the continental tournament.
Players invited for the assignment are expected to report to camp in the coming days to begin preparations during the FIFA Women’s International Window.
