Veep to launch "Operation Mali 2002"

Vice-President Alhaji Aliu Mahama will officially launch the Black Stars ‘Operation Mali 2002’ with a ‘Benefit Nite’ at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel tomorrow.

The exclusive occasion will also see the re-formalisation of the relationship between the Black Stars and Adidas as the team’s official kit sponsors. It will also provide the platform for the Ghana Football Association to announce other forms of corporate and individual sponsors to boost the Black Stars efforts at the Nations Cup finals.

The Vice-President will also interact with the sponsors and other stakeholders and announce government’s plans for the team. Some of the major sponsors include Guinness Ghana Limited, Coca Cola, State Insurance Corporation (SIC), and Akosombo Textiles Limited (ATL).

About 100 past and present sponsors will be at the function where the new jersey of the Black Stars will also be introduced.
