Ghanaian footballer Antoine Semenyo has been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Season award for the 2025/2026 campaign.
The Black Stars winger has delivered blistering performances throughout the season, earning him a place among the league’s top contenders for the prestigious award.
The versatile forward has scored 16 goals and provided four assists in 35 Premier League appearances, cementing his reputation as one of the standout players of the season.

He began the campaign with Bournemouth, where his impressive form caught the attention of Pep Guardiola, who signed him to strengthen Manchester City’s squad during the January 2025/2026 season.
Semenyo is shortlisted alongside Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes, Arsenal’s Gabriel, Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White, Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya, midfielder Declan Rice, and Brentford’s Igor Thiago.
This nomination marks another major milestone in Semenyo’s career and further underlines his growing status as one of Ghana’s most influential footballers on the global stage.
It must be noted, however, that he faces stiff competition from other nominees, particularly Arsenal players should they clinch the Premier League title, as well as his teammate Haaland, who currently leads the scoring charts.
