Former Ghana captain, Asamoah Gyan has urged Ghanaians to rally behind new Black Stars coach Carlos Queiroz ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Queiroz, who previously coached Egypt, Iran and Colombia, was appointed on a four-month contract following the dismissal of Otto Addo in March.
Speaking in an interview on Channel One TV, Asamoah Gyan praised Queiroz’s pedigree and called on fans to show respect and support to the experienced tactician.
“Bringing in a new coach, we shouldn’t look down on the coach because he is one of the best coaches when we talk about CVs and everything,” Gyan said.
The Black Stars have been drawn in Group L alongside England, Croatia and Panama for the 2026 World Cup.
