Ghana forward Joseph Paintsil has revealed his ambition of becoming a legend at MLS side Los Angeles Galaxy.

The 28-year-old became an instant hit following his move from KRC Genk to the MLS giants in 2024, starring in their championship success in his first season.

Paintsil reached double figures in goal contribution, forming a legendary trio, famously known as the Triple P, with Gabriel Pec and Riqui Puig.

However, LA Galaxy failed to defend their title last season and endured one of their worst campaigns in the club's history, finishing 26th overall and 14th in the Western Conference. Painstil finished the 2025 season as the top scorer of LA Galaxy.

This season, the LA club continues to struggle with the Ghanaian out for weeks due to injury.

Despite the growing concerns over his future at the club, Paintsil disclosed his main goal and wants to be mentioned alongside greats of the franchise, including David Beckham and Landon Donovan.

"I'm here to represent LA Galaxy, and I'm here to wear this crest and give everything to LA Galaxy. I'm here to make sure we win another trophy. I want to leave also as a legend," he told Vamos Network.

"This is a big club. This is a club that has produced some great players. It needs to motivate you, you having a lot of great players. Come on, you can never say no to it.

"It was never something I need to think about. It was something I needed to grab it and have it as an opportunity to for me to secure everything."
