Former Germany head coach, Joachim Löw, has rejected claims that he is on the verge of being hired to fill the vacancy as coach of the Ghana Black Stars.

According to Sky Sport, the 2014 World Cup-winning coach disclosed that he has not been contacted by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) or any Ghanaian official regarding a coaching role.

He stated that he has no knowledge of the situation alleged in the media.

"Officially, no one from Ghana has spoken to me," he told Sky Sports on April 3, 2026.

Several media reports suggested that the former Germany coach is open to leading the Black Stars to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, set to be hosted in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

The reports added that negotiations are ongoing between the two parties, but salary demands remain the main challenge, as he is expected to earn around €150,000 per month for a short stint.

This news has left many social media users in awe, as they believe Löw would be a huge boost for the team if the GFA manages to secure his services.

Unfortunately, the German gaffer has denied the reports, and it remains to be seen whether the Ghana Football Association (GFA) will contact him about the job as the search for a coach continues.
