Asante Kotoko are reportedly on the verge of appointing Dr Kwame Baah-Nuakoh as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the club.

The Ghana Premier League giants have been without a substantive CEO since Nana Yaw Amponsah's departure.

In the interim, the club’s affairs are being managed by an Interim Management Committee (IMC) headed by Nana Apinkrah Akwasi Awuah, with support from Kwesi Appiah and Malik Jabir.

However, it is understood that the newly constituted Board of Directors, who are expected to assume office ahead of next season, are wrapping up deliberations to appoint Dr Baah-Nuakoh as the new CEO of the club ahead of the 2026/27 football season.

The board will be chaired by James Osei Brown, with Kwasi Osei Ofori serving as vice-chairman. Founder and CEO of Rigworld Group, Kofi Amoa-Abban, is also expected to serve as a member.

The club is also expected to name a new head coach before the start of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season.

Dr Baah-Nuakoh previously served as the International Relations Manager at Asante Kotoko.

Dr Kwame Baah-Nuako has served as Chairman of the Club Licensing Committee since November 2019.

He also served as General Manager, Sustainability, at the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC).
