The National Coordinator of the National Recreation and Wellness Programme (NRWP), Betty Krosbi Mensah, has confirmed that her outfit will participate in this year’s Kedzi Norvikporgbe Za Easter celebrations, which will feature water sports and a health walk.
A delegation from the Kedzi Norvikporgbe Za 2026 Planning Committee, led by Chairman Dotse Dadadzogbor, paid a working visit to the NRWP offices at the Borteyman Sports Complex to present the line-up of activities for this year’s festival.
The sporting component will include the second edition of Water Volleyball, the introduction of new disciplines such as Water Handball, a Health Walk scheduled for Friday, April 3, and a Regatta Relay on Sunday, April 5, 2026.

Krosbi Mensah expressed her outfit’s commitment to supporting the event, describing the activities as exciting and impactful in promoting recreation and wellness during the festive period.
She further assured the team of NRWP’s readiness to help mobilise the necessary support for the successful organisation of the competition.
Facilitating the engagement on behalf of the organisers was the Volta Regional Sports Development Officer of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Dzidodo Ruben Adjahoe. He highlighted that water sports in Kedzi have gained significant attention following viral videos from the maiden edition, boosted by the endorsement of popular YouTuber and travel vlogger Wode Maya.
He appealed for increased support towards emerging sporting disciplines that promote recreation among the youth and local communities.
The delegation also paid a courtesy call on the Director General of the National Sports Authority, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, and the Chief Operating Officer, Yaw Gyamfi Kusi Awere, to seek their support and blessings for the event.
The NSA Director General, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, commended the initiative, noting its uniqueness in promoting lesser-known sporting disciplines, and pledged his support for the successful hosting of this year’s event in Kedzi.
Other planning committee members who were part of the delegation include Awuku Mawulawoe Shine, Babanawo Enoch, and Sesenu Augustus.
