Accra Hearts of Oak have dismissed media reports suggesting the club recently held an emergency meeting with its players, describing the claims as inaccurate and misleading.

In an official statement released on March 11, 2026, the club clarified that the engagement between management and the playing body was a routine meeting aimed at addressing welfare matters and strengthening unity within the team.

According to the club’s management, such engagements form part of their normal internal processes to review player welfare, promote team bonding, and ensure the necessary support structures are in place for both the technical team and players.

However, the statement stressed that several reports circulating in sections of the media misrepresented the nature of the meeting, wrongly portraying it as an emergency gathering due to issues within the club.

“Hearts of Oak wishes to firmly state that several claims being attributed to the said engagement in recent media reports are inaccurate, misleading, and cannot be substantiated,” the statement noted.

The club also cautioned media houses and content creators against publishing unverified and sensational claims that could harm the reputation and integrity of the club.
