Coach Addo vows to tame Lions

Accra, Dec. 2, GNA - Herbert Addo, head coach of Aduana Stars, has vowed to tame Heart of Lions as the two sides clash in the 14th week league game at the Agyeman Badu Stadium, Dormaa on Sunday.

He told GNA Sports "We cannot afford to lose again after last Sunday's defeat to Ashgold. Another defeat will affect our championship aspirations. We are like wounded lions seeking for a prey, so we will go all out against them."

Coach Addo claimed his side played the best football against Ashgold, but failed to translate their dominance into goals; saying, "this time we will forego fine football in search of good results". Coach Addo, who is gunning for the top job of the Black Stars after making the five shortlisted coaches for interview by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) said, his side will aim at all three points and not eye pleasing football.

"We have to keep the pace on the league table, if we are to stage a successful defence of the title we won last season. Winning the league for the second time is still within our reach, though Berekum Chelsea seems to stretching the lead on the table."

The coach said the chase for the league title was far from over with 16 matches to go.

Coach Addo, however, reckoned that picking the three points will not come easy, because Lions is a very formidable side and could cause havoc to their aspirations. 02 Dec. 10
