Ghanaians to enjoy more soccer on the Smart TV decoder

Going by their promise in bringing more sports especially soccer, the passion of the nation to the comfort of almost every Ghanaian home, offices, restaurant bar and casino's, Smart T.V, has added a new channel exclusively devoted to Sports.

With this new addition, ASN (Africa Sports Network), subscribers can watch major Sporting events as well as live football matches from six of the major football leagues across the world.

According to Abner Adolphus Briandt, channel manager, ASN is determined to give Ghanaians value for money through a mix of local and foreign sports content with soccer, the passion of Ghanaians taking a greater percentage.

Currently on ASN are live football matches from the best leagues across the world.

They include all ten weekly Italian Serie A matches, the English Premier League, Japanese J-league, the Belgian Jupiter league, the Scottish Premier League and U.S Major League Soccer, the MLS, all of which has most of the continents big names featuring in it as well as Ghanaian soccer stars.

This comes as a great opportunity for Ghanaians to watch their favorite soccer stars like, Michael Essien, John Mensah, John Paintsil, Asamoah Gyan and goalkeeper Richard Kingson, who has just joined newly promoted Premier League side, Blackpool.

Also in the Italian Serie A, Ghanaian soccer fans will have the delinght to watch the likes of Inter Milan's Sulley Muntari, Kwadwo Asamoah, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, both of Udinese, former Stars skipper Stephen Appiah, Prince Kelvin-Boateng of A.C Milan among others.

Former Black Starlet star, Anthony Obodai, Dominic Oduro, Emmanuel Osei and other will also be showcased in the U.S MLS, as well as other Ghanaian stars in their respective leagues across Europe.

ASN also has something special for the numerous Arsenal fans, thus the 'Arsenal Media' which is coming soon.

In order to honor its promise of a blend of local and foreign content, ASN has acquired the rights to produce and broadcast Kotoko TV.

Kotoko fans should get ready for some behind the scenes stories, training sessions, player profile, interviews, fans corner among others.

Plans are underway to do same for at least six local clubs before next year.
