Confusion Hits Swaziland

‘Yuki’ skips camp, goes clubbing!

Barely seven days before the National Team Sihlangu plays Ghana’s Black Stars,
star player Dennis ‘Yuki’ Masina skipped camp to enjoy himself at a popular
night club in Manzini.

Radio B.A.R Sports Desk can reveal that the Orlando Pirates player was released
by his team over the weekend to join the squad but decided to go clubbing and
arrived in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Masina’s escapades allegedly began at the Trade Fair where he mingled with
clubbers and friends while the squad was in camp at Mhlume.

The dazzling attacking winger proceeded to the popular Club Le Zone in Manzini
where he stayed until the early hours of the following day.
He is said to have dribbled his way to his room, past the sleeping Sihlangu
management at Mhlume.

The player, when called for comment yesterday admitted that he did go to the
Trade Fair and Club Le Zone. In a brief response, Masina said he went to the two
places before retiring to bed late in the night at Mhlume Country Club where the
national team is currently based.
"I cannot say much but yes I went to Club Le Zone and the Trade Fair but it was
not to enjoy myself," he said.
Sihlangu Logistics Manager, Comfort Shongwe could only confirm that when he went
to bed at around 9pm on Sunday the player had not yet arrived. That was despite
the fact that he had made the indication that he would join the team in camp on
Sunday.
"Yes I went to bed early but that doesn’t mean the player went clubbing because
I personally spoke to him and he confirmed he will arrive late on the day. If
what you are saying is true, one can only say we condemn it with the contempt it
deserves," he said.
Shongwe on the other hand warned against negative publicity on the part of
journalists ahead of the game against Ghana.
He further confirmed that another international Tony ‘TT’ Tsabedze has been held
up by club commitments but was expected in camp last night.
