Kotoko protest against Hearts

KUMASI Asante Kotoko have protested against rivals Accra Hearts of Oak for fielding an unqualified player in the person of Charles Taylor in their 19th week league match played at the Kumasi Stadium last September 16. Kotoko won the match 2-0.

A protest letter to the GFA signed by the Accra Representative of Kotoko, Kwame Amoa-Bosompem yesterday claimed that Charles Taylor received three yellow cards in the fourth, seventh and 18th week matches before their match and therefore, unqualified to play in the said match.

“We are therefore, asking the FA to apply the appropriate sanction against Hearts of Oak for fielding an unqualified player”, the protest added.
