Celebrity Coca Cola Medal Golf scheduled for June 6

Tema, June 2, GNA - The May edition of the Celebrity Coca Cola Open Golf Championship would be played at the Celebrity Golf Course at Sakumono, near Tema on Sunday, June 6.

Mr Pierre Coussey., Captain of the Celebrity Golf Club who told GNA Sports at Tema on Wednesday, said the competition which was scheduled for May 29, had to be pushed further following the death of a member of the Club. He said about 120 players are expected to participate in the competition which has been sponsored by the beverage giant for the past five months.

Among an array of golfers expected to battle each other for the attractive prizes are Oswald Amuzu, Akwasi Opoku, Ashish Gajjar, Theophilus Asampong and Abdu-Aziz Amankwa. Mr Coussey entreated all golfers to be punctual for the one-day 18-Hole Stable-ford competition. The Coca Cola sponsorship of the event would end in December, this year.
