Godwin Attram Is Clubless

Former skipper of the national under-17 soccer team, Godwin Attram has left Dutch club PSV Einhoven because he has been refused a visa by the Netherlands authorities.

"Attram has irregularities in his papers and his application for work permit has been turned down", a report monitored in Accra said.
"The accuracy of his identity papers are doubtful and that is why he will get no visa to enter Holland" the report quoted club spokesman, Pedro Salazar as saying.

Attram who captained the 1997 squad to Egypt to win silver after losing 1-2 to Brazil in the final, has his problem compounded because his loan deal with Danish club Silkeborg IF has also ended, leaving the player without a club.
But PSV are still obliged to pay Attram as he has a contract with them until 2004.

"It is not his fault and beyond our control, but he can't play here", the report added.

The questions over the player's papers were raised last year, leading PSV to loan him out to Silkeborg, with whom they have a co-operation agreement.
PSV Technical Manager, Frank Arnesen is looking for a new club for Attram.
Meanwhile, Attram is back in Ghana awaiting a word on his footballing future.
