Adiyiah fancies playing with Appiah & Essien

In an interview with the 90 Minutes newspaper, inform Black Satellites goal poacher Dominic Adiyiah says he fancies an opportunity to play for the Black Stars as he still harbors the dream to play with Stephen Appiah and Michael Essien.

Adiyiah who has six goals from five games without a shred of doubt is having a go at this year’s FIFA U-20 World Cup finals in Egypt and besides, hope his rich form of goal scoring fondness would earn him a chance for Milovan Rajevac to have a look at him after his Satellites team-mates like Samuel Inkoom, Opoku Agyeman, Agyemang Badu amongst others have all excelled for the senior national team when called upon.

“I would relish a chance to play with Stephen Appiah and Michael Essien because they are of world class quality. Inkoom and Opoku Agyemang speak highly of them and I believe it would be great to play alongside them,” he told the tabloid.

“Others like David Addy, Agyemang Badu and some of my colleagues in the Black Satellites camp have proved that when given the chance, we the young ones can also rise to the occasion. I do hope my performance would make Coach Milo take a good look at me too.”

On his post match interview on the Ghana/Hungry game on Tuesday, the top scorer was hopeful of the Black Satellites’ chances of playing in the grand finale. He said: “It would be a match worth watching because I know there would be goals in the game with an excellent pattern of play as both teams are technically sound.”

“We are very close to the finals and I know there is no better motivation than playing in the FIFA U-20 World Cup finals. It wouldn't be easy for both teams but trust us to come tops at the end of the day.”
