CAL Bank Open Golf championship scheduled for Sept. 12

Accra, Sep. 11, GNA-All is set for this year's CAL Bank Limited Open Golf Championship scheduled for the Achimota Golf Course in Accra on Saturday, September 12.

Mr Kwabena Oteng-Aboagye, General Manager of the Achimota Golf Club told GNA Sports in Accra that about 120 golfers throughout the country are expected to participate in the one-day 18-Hole Medal Play competition.

He said the yearly competition which would see crack golfers vying for honours, would be played in accordance with the local rules of the Ghana Golf Association.

Mr Oteng-Aboagye said management of the Club was doing everything possible to ensure that the competition was keenly contested. Michael Aggrey, Captain of the Club would lead his team which would include Mike Ezan, President, Michael Ben-George, Charles Tabi, Daniel List, Paul List, Rene Kwame, E.M. Kwame and Matthias Dorfe, members.

The Ladies segment would also see 'Evergreen' Mona Myles-Lamptey, Florence Etwi-Barimah, Clara Price, Ama Morgan and Grace Afriyie.

There would be prizes for the 'Longest Drive on Hole 17' and 'Closest to the Pin on Hole 18'. Mr Frank Adu, Managing Director of the Bank would present trophies to the winners.
