Kingson makes timely return

Ghana most reliable goalkeeper Richard Kingson has made a timely recovery from injury, six days before the World Cup qualifier against Sudan.

The Black Stars were thought to have lost the England-based to an ankle injury which resulted in the call-up of two back-up keepers.

Ghana copach Milovan Rajevac calls just two shot-stoppers for World Cup qualifiers but fears over Kingson resulted on his switch.

But the Serbian has been handed the necessary boost as Kingson was on the bench when Wigan were beaten 2-1 by Everton.

This means he is available to start for the Black Stars in the game that could seal their place at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Kingson was absent from the Black Stars international friendly against Zambia in London two weeks ago because of the ankle injury.

In his absence George Owu and William Amamoo shared responsibilities as Ghana thrashed Zambia in London. Amamoo and Owu are in the squad for the game against Sudan.
