Tagoe's agent rubbishes Hoffenheim claims

The agent of Prince Tagoe has launched a scathing attack on German side Hoffenheim insisting that the player has no heart problems while accusing the club treating his player "inhumanely".

According to Goran Milovanovic, the German club will be reported to FIFA for 'illegally' abrogating the player's contract 'suspiciously' while a civil suit will be started in Germany for human rights abuse.

Hoffenheim terminated the contract of Tagoe two weeks ago -which only came to light on Wednesday - claiming that the player has a heart condition which resulted in their decision to cancel his contract.

The news is a shock to the football world as Tagoe passed his medical test with Hoffenheim doctors just two months ago before signing a three-year contract.

But in a shocking rebuttal to the claims of the Bundesliga side, Goran Milovanovic says a second test from a heart specialist in Germany says the Ghana striker has a clean bill of health.

"We are terribly disappointed that a club of the stature of Hoffenheim will cancel the contract of player based on the opinion of just one doctor," Milovanovic told Ghanasoccernet.com.

"Thankfully we sought a second diagnoses from a top heart doctor in Germany which totally contradicts what Hoffenheim said. Prince is fit, he is running and is in good spirits after the second test.

"The manner in which the said termination of contract was carried is very suspicious. In such serious cases you need the opinion of two or more doctors.

"Hoffenheim secretly carried out their claimed heart test from their own doctor without a second opinion and barely minutes later with such devastation they force him to sign documents without the knowledge of his agents or lawyers.

"This is inhumane and very suspicious. Now a well-renowed heart specialist says Tagoe has got a very clean heart and that has put Hoffenheim in a fix.

"They are now trying to say that they cared for his welfare during this period. That is a facade.

"For ten days when they told Tagoe he absolutely devastated together with family while the club had all along been telling the media he had flu.

"Imagine if Tagoe had decided to harm himself because of this bad news. They have completely messed with his human rights and in the next few days the German courts will take action.

"We will go to Fifa on the footballing aspects of his contract."

As Tagoe’s agents have categorically denied that the player has any heart problem, this has brought the issue of Kanu’s heart problem into sharp focus.

In the summer of 1996 he joined Inter Milan but after the deal had gone through, a routine medical revealed a faulty aortic valve in his heart.

But the Italian side did not abrogate his contract and opted to treat him in the United States and he fully recovered.

Tagoe had been playing in Saudi Arabia in recent years and his move to Germany in June this year was widely seen as a much deserved step into the limelight.

He has started all three of Ghana's matches in the final round of World Cup qualifying.
