Dwarfs wallop STARKE F/C

Cape Coast, Aug. 10, GNA - Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs walloped Dunkwa-On-Offin STARKE 4-0 to place second with 28 points in their Zone 2B Middle League match at the Robert Mensah Stadium, Cape Coast on Sunday.

By the victory Dwarfs have thus booked their passport to participate in the National Middle League scheduled for August 16, alongside Tarkwa United who came first with 29 points. Dwarfs with massive support from their teeming home fans made victory certain when they scored two goals before the end of the first half.

Determined to ensure that they made it to the Middle league, Dwarfs scored the opener as early as the eighth minute through outside right, Bismark Asiedu and increased their tally to two through a spot kick in the 35th minute taken expertly by midfielder, Douglas Mustapha. Back from the recess, Starke made several attempts to equalise but their spirits were dampened when Dwarfs once again took over the attack and scored two more goals through Ekow Aikins and Mustapha Douglas to seal their doom. Other results were Tarkwa United spanked Windy Professionals 3-1, Feyenoored beat Sekondi Metro Stars 3-2 while Sekondi West Landes also pounded Elmina Coconut Grove Sharks 2-0. 10 Aug. 09
