Vipers lose to Oguaa United

Cape Coast, July 31, GNA - The myth surrounding Cape Coast Venomous Vipers was broken by Oguaa United when they beat them 2-1 in their outstanding Central Region Division-Two League match at the Robert Mensah Stadium, Cape Coast.

The signs was so clear that Vipers were destined to lose the match when the League leaders failed to utilize a penalty awarded them to cancel their first half 1-0 lose.

Oguaa United who had earlier on threatened to stop the unbeaten record of their opponents, opened the scoring in the 20th minute through mid-fielder, Emmanuel Otoo and hanged onto it till the end of the first half.

Back from recess, Vipers had the opportunity to equalize but centre half Yakubu Yorke shot straight into the open hands of goalkeeper, Titus Baiden. In the 70th minute, outside-right, Fiagbe Kemevor increased his side's goal tally to two but Vipers managed to reduce the tally through a spot kick taken by Mallam Tijani. In another encounter, Adisadel Astronomers drew 1-1 with Nadel Rovers. 31 July 09
