Dwarf lifts Ama Benyiwa-Doe's cup

Cape Coast, May 12, GNA - Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarf beat their local rivals Venomous Vipers 4-2 to lift the Central Regional Minister's event coined the Ama Benyiwa-Doe's Cup in a special match played at the Robert Mensah stadium on Sunday.

Francs Gyepi who scored a hat trick in the match was instrumental ijn the success of the Club. The Regional Minister who presented the Cup to Dwarfs at the end of the match commended the two teams for their sportsmanship. Kicking under the instruction of referee Jeffery Amamoo, it was Dwarfs who attacked first and scored the opener through Gyepi in the tenth minute.

Vipers who outclass by Dwarfs in the early stages of the match, leveled up matters through a free kick by midfielder, Emmanuel Ackon to end the first half.

Back from recess, Vipers continued to dictate affairs and it came as no surprise when they raised the tally to 2-1 through a spot kick by outside right, Ibrahim Tijani in the fifty-fifth minute. Speedster Douglas Mustapha made the score 2-2 in the sixtieth minute while Francis Gyepi scored two goals through a spot kick in the 70th and another goal in the 75th minute to steal the doom of Vipers.
