Sudan and Mali played out a 1-1 draw in Group D in Omdurman.

Mali's Fredi Kanoute put the visitors in front on 20 minutes but Sudan equalised through Mudathir al-Tahir just four minutes later.

Ghana and Benin are the other teams in this group and they play on Sunday.
