Germany donates tennis equipment to Accra Lawn and Tennis Clubs

Accra Feb. 10, GNA - The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Accra has donated a quantity of tennis equipment to the Accra Lawn Tennis Club and other Tennis Clubs. The equipment which comprised tennis rackets, balls, shoes and shirts are to be distributed to various Clubs across the country.

Ms Ruth Mensah, Public Relations Officer of the Embassy in a statement issued on Tuesday copied to GNA Sports said the donation stems from the good relationship between the Tennis Federation of Baden W=FCrttemberg in the Federal Republic of Germany and Ghana and was facilitated by the Embassy in Accra. She said the donation of the tennis equipment was therefore to ensure that young tennis players enjoy the opportunity to further and improve on their training with the latest equipment and explore other areas of the game.

Mr. Hans Christian Winkler, Acting Ambassador of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Accra handed the equipment to Mr Peter Annan of the Accra Lawn and Tennis Club.
