Appiah prays for Juve return

Ghanaian international midfielder Stephen Appiah is dreaming of a return to Juventus, but the Old Lady need to get rid of Tiago Mendes first.

This time last year, Tiago arrived in Turin with high hopes, but the Portuguese international completely failed to settle in Serie A and endured a nightmare season.

Juve have tried to trade in their struggling star and had agreed a deal with Everton, but Tiago refused to relocate to Goodison Park.

The Bianconeri are reportedly furious with the ex-Chelsea man, as they are keen to bring back Appiah, who wore the Juve shirt between 2003-05.

“It would be a dream to return to Juventus,” Appiah stated. “I know that I would be able to give more than I did in my first spell.

“I am more experienced and mature and I would be completely at Claudio Ranieri's disposal.

“I don't know if there has been any contact and my agent hasn't told me anything, but I really hope to hear something.

“I know that there have been offers from other countries but Juventus would be my absolute priority.”
