Chairman of Hearts Board appeals for truce

Accra, July 28, GNA - The Board Chairman of Accra Hearts of

Oak Sporting Club, E. M. Commodore-Mensah has made a

passionate appeal to the fans of the Club to make room in their hearts

to ensure peace, restraint and respect for authority. He said that, "The current trend whereby any aggrieved member of

the Club rushes to the press to vent his feelings and opinions is not

acceptable and must be put to a stop henceforth." Mr Commodore-Mensah who said these in a press release copied

to GNA Sports noted that such acts were not only unprofessional but

also amount to sheer ignorance, deliberate distortion of facts and

breach of confidentiality. The Board Chairman emphasized that such practice clearly affects

the corporate image of the Club especially at this time that

sponsorship has been elusive. "We need to make Hearts of Oak attractive not only on the field

of play but also in the way we carry on other matters that relate to the image of the Club."

"Washing our dirty linen in public hurts the corporate image of Hearts especially, at a time like this when serious efforts are been made to form partnership with coprate bodies by way of sponsorship".

Mr Commodore-Mensah explained that there are adequate avenues within the structures of the Club for people with genuine grievance to go for redress and asked all members to utilize them. He also advised members of the club who go public on their

grievances to desist raining insults on officials adding that 'how we go about to seek correction to the lapses is what distinguishes us from people who do not belong to our family".

"I therefore urge all to learn to be tolerant of each other and be united in our efforts. For United We Stand, Divided We Fall."
