Angola dreaming of home advantage

Accra, June 29, GNA - It is on the minds of Angola's Under-20 team of making the most of home advantage when they host Ghana's Satellites in the return duel of the African Youth Championship qualifier in Luanda in a fortnight.

The Southern African team would be hoping to overturn a 1-5 defeat suffered at the hands of the Black Satellites at the Ohene Djan Stadium in Accra on Sunday with home advantage as their weapon.

Angola's lone scorer, Mario Queta who gave his side the lead in the game to prove they are worthy opponents says home advantage could prove decisive in the next game.

He told GNA Sports "Ghana played at home and that made them stronger.

"We will work hard to use our home base to our advantage and win big to overtake them in the next game."

He describes a comfortable win at home as crucial to their campaign insisting "it is a big defeat and it is most unfortunate but this is not the time to give up the fight."

Queto reckoned Angola would need to play above themselves to get any realistic chance of qualifying to the next stage of the qualifiers.

Mohammed Alhassan, Saddick Adams, Abdul Ganiyu's goals and

skipper Ransford Osei's brace gave Ghana a massive cushion for

qualification to the competition they have missed out in two

successions. 29 June 08
