Hasaacas succumb to Ashgold

Obuasi, May 18, GNA - Visiting Sekondi Hasaacas played a splendid game but finally succumbed 1-2 to Obuasi Ashgold in the 19 Week of the Onetouch Premier League match played at the Len Clay Sports stadium on Sunday. It was Ashgold's Alex Asamoah who scored the opener in the sixth minute of proceedings but Hasaacas re-organised and quickly leveled up the scores in the 19th minute through Isaac Donkor. Ashgold from then on played as if nothing was at stake as they allowed Hasaacas to dictate the pace of the game but failed to find the net.

The 'Miners' however lifted up their game in the second half pinning Hasaacas to the wall and earned a free-kick just outside the penalty box but Alhaji Shanni's shot went off target. Ashgold continued to pile on the pressure on the visitors and succeeded in taking the lead in the 75th minute through striker Alex Asamoah.

Asamoah nearly made it three for his side in the dying minutes of the game as he failed to score a hat-trick when he messed up the opportunity before referee Jonathan Tetteh from Accra brought proceedings to an end. More AMG
