Achimota Golf Club engages Ikoyi counterparts

Accra, Feb. 26, GNA - Achimota Golf Club of Ghana would engage in an international Golf championship with the Ikoyi Golf Club of Nigeria at the Achimota Golf course in Accra on Sunday, March 2. Mr Kwabena Oteng-Aboagye, General Manager of the Club who announced this in Accra on Tuesday, said the competition, which is an annual affair aims at strengthening the already existing cordial relationship between the two clubs.

He said the home Club has put in place stringent measures to ensure that Achimota win the trophy. Mr Oteng-Aboagye said the competition continues to receive a large entry almost every year and this year is also expected to have more participants. Captain of the Achimota Golf Club, Bob Evans would lead his team which would include Mike Ezan, President and Kojo Butah, the vice President. Also to feature for Achimota Ladies are veteran Mona Captan, Mary Asafo-Adjaye, Clara Price and Mary Hanson. The return encounter will be played at Ikoyi later in the year.
