Sulley gets ugly

Portsmouth midfielder Sulley Muntari has no problem with 'winning ugly' as long as Pompey qualify for Europe this season.

Harry Redknapp's eighth-placed side have ground to make up on Everton, Aston Villa, Liverpool and Manchester City but they are now boosted by the recent return of their players on duty at the African Cup of Nations.

And Muntari, who featured for host nation Ghana, admits he is fully focused on the final 12 games of the campaign.

"We can get the Champions League or the UEFA Cup spot depending on how things go and, of course, we'll aim for fourth place," he said.

"But we don't always have to be the best team technically on the field, as long as we remember that winning games is the most important thing of all."
