LeRoy still studying offer from GFA

National coach Claude LeRoy says he is studying the offer of a contract extension from the Ghana Football Association.

The Frenchman’s two-year deal with the Ghana Football Association expires at the end of August this year but the Ghana Football Association has offered him an extension.

The coach however refused to commit his future to the Black Stars in an interview with local radio station JoyFM.

I have received many offers that could pay me more money than I receive in Ghana but the decision I take would not be influenced by that

“The GFA has offered me an extension, which I am studying. I will give my word to them when I have finished doing that,” he said.

LeRoy, who has been linked with a return to DR Congo from whom he joined Ghana, claims he has received several offers from elsewhere and suggested he will consider all those before deciding his Ghana future.

“I have received many offers that could pay me more money than I receive in Ghana but the decision I take would not be influenced by that. There is a lot of work to be done here but the good thing is that I have got a good base to work with,” he said.

LeRoy’s refusal to be categorical on his future will do very little to quell growing rumours that the Frenchman could walk out on Ghana after the expiration of his contract.
