Choi and Mary win Tema Captain's Prize

Tema, Feb. 10, GNA - Kojo Choi and Mary Asafo-Adjaye became the proud winners of this year's Tema Country Golf Club Captain's Prize Championship played at Tema on Saturday. Choi returned a net score of 65 while Mary had 70 net to win the Men and Ladies categories in a day's 18-Hole Stable-ford competition. Frank Torgah took the second position with 68 net, beating Eric Opoku on count-back while Gyimah Kwakye placed fourth with a net score of 70 in the Men's category.

The second position of the Ladies event went to Esther Antwi with 73 net with the third position going to Florence Etwi-Barimah who had 75 net.

Vincent Torgah won the Professional's event on the sudden death rule after tying with Baba Akologo with 68 gross. Emmanuel Henaku took the third position with 69 gross, followed by Victor Brave-Mensah at the fourth position with 70 gross while Emmanuel Osei came fifth also with 70 gross. E-Talk Communications Limited sponsored the competition, which attracted more than 100 golfers.

Mr Felix Owusu-Adjepong, President of the Club, assisted Mr William Asiedu Yeboah, Captain of the Tema Country Golf Club, to present prizes to the winners. The President called on the members to take active interest in the activities of the club.
