MTN congratulates Black Stars

Accra, Feb. 5, GNA - MTN, cellular phone giants and title sponsors of the 26th African Cup of Nations holding in Ghana, on Tuesday hailed the senor national team, the Black Stars for their victory over the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

A statement attributed to Mr Brett Goschen, CEO of MTN in Ghana and signed by Mawuena Dumor, Corporate Services Executive; said: "Your victory in this match though difficult, adds to your succession of victories and unblemished record in the tournament and it is a sign of your determination to win the ultimate prize, the African Cup." The CEO also commended Sully Muntari for wining the man of the match award of the game and urged the Stars "not to give in to complacency but rather to remain resolute and focused" as the competition proceeded to the next phase.

Mr Goschen tasked he players to continue with the same determination that had earned them victory in their previous matches. The statement called on Ghanaians to rally behind the Black Stars and to provide them with the needed support until the dream of winning the cup became a reality on February 10.
