150 to vie for Tema Captain's Prize

Tema, Feb. 4, GNA - This year's Tema Country Golf Club Captain's Prize Championship tees off at Tema on Saturday, February 9. Mr Ebenezer Adablanu, Chief Executive Officer of the club, who announced this at Tema on Monday, said about 150 amateur and professional golfers throughout the country were billed to participate in the day's 18-hole stable-ford competition.

He said Mr William Asiedu Yeboah, Captain of the Club, would sponsor the competition, which would be played under the local rules of the Tema Country Golf Club.

Among an array of golfers, who would be battling each other for the ultimate, include Felix Owusu-Adjapong, President of the Club, Alex Fiagomey and Kofi Gyau, both former captains of the club. Achimota Golf Club, to be led by their President, Mr Mike M. Ezan, would also feature veteran golfers including Dan Dennis; Wisdom Asempa; Charles Tabi and Bob Evans.

Emos Korblah would be defending the Professional's trophy he won last year.
