Eunice wins Achimota Lady Captain's Prize

Accra, Feb. 3, GNA - Eunice Adzakpo returned a net score of 67, to win this year's Achimota Golf Club Lady Captain's Prize Championship played at the Achimota Golf Course in Accra on Saturday.

She was followed by Nana Bema-Tackie with 71 net, who

beat Maria Ben-George on count-back, while Betty Allotey

placed fourth with 72 net. In the Silver Division, Leticia Amponsah-Mensah came first

with 67 net; Florence Etwi-Barimah took the second position

with 68 net; Yaa Konadu Safo-Debrah was third with 69 net,

while Clara Price placed fourth with 70 net. Emmanuel Quarshie won the Juniors' encounter with 30

net; Patrick Quarshie took the second position with 31, net

while Isaac Klah placed third with 32 net. The one-day 18-Hole Stable-ford competition, opened to

lady golfers throughout the country, was sponsored by Mrs

Mary Hanson, Lady Captain of the Achimota Golf Club. Mr Mike Ezan, President of the Achimota Golf Club praised

Mrs Hanson for sponsoring the event and called on members

of the club to offer the necessary support to the executives of

the club to enable them to perform their duties creditably.
